Thanks everyone. Somehow I thought Starlings are black, so now I am educated.  

  Yes, good pictures! That is one of my favourite passtimes, to watch them at the birdbath.  I haven't seen any around for 2 weeks, so they must be migrating  

These birds were chattering and doing their stuff when I took the picture. I assumed they are cowbirds, but then on the picture I saw the spots. What are they?
