Liam:I absolutely LOVE Soras That was the first and only Sora I've ever seen.  If anyone has suggestions on seeing more of them (or rails generally), I'd be interested.

I find Sanderlings quite photogenic for some reason.  Here are some with a Black-Bellied Plover at Pillar Point.

I know they're almost identical and voice is one of the better ways to distinguish, but I got a nice clear shot of a dowitcher and I thought I'd throw it out there to see if anyone wanted to venture a confident identification.  I confess to not remembering ...

I've seen a number of these, but I've never been quick enough to get a photo that seemed good enough for identification purposes.  But I finally got my camera up fast enough to get this evening photo of a Common Yellowthroat.  This was at the Don Edwards San Francisco Bay National Wildlife Refuge. The color is terrible, but good ...

Thanks everyone!  This is a bird that has been identified in this thread before, but I was able to get a decent picture of the black markings under the wings of a Black-Bellied Plover.  

If I have identified this one correctly, it is a new bird for me.  This is Pillar Point, CA. Semipalmated Plover.    

Speaking of robins stuffing themselves on berries....
