I saw a Blue Jay like that about 6 weeks ago.( N Texas )
Not quite as bald as that one,but most of the head feathers were missing.Did not have my camera that day though.

You would think the smaller bird would not be able to provide enough food for a larger one.

I see you are using a Nikon coolpic camera
question are you using the digital zoom as well as the optical zoom if so turn off the digital zoom and you will notice a huge difference in your photos you won't be able to zoom in as close but your images wont have that digitized pixel effect
Does that trick work with non Nikon ...

I guess those that feel cats should be kept indoors have never lived in the country or on a farm.
Outdoor cats eat rats and mice that carry dieases as well.I rather have a few cats around taking out the rats then speading posion or traps were other animals could get into them.

Looks like the black wing tips and black on top of the head match.

You could put out some raw carrots or lose( or whole) dried field corn if you can get some in your area.
Probably more healthy for her then bird seed,shes very hungry if shes eating bird seed.

Excelent, one of the 1st pictures to come up in google was same bird i took the picture of At Ft Worth Zoo.
