jbm32206:I happen to think that the female cardinals are actually prettier than the males...I love their coloring  I have to agree with you, I love the females and love to catch them amongst the fall leaves (which is not that easy!).

That was fast, I have a better shot of him perching but the forum is not allowing me to upload (the error message states I have the wrong file extension and yet it's a Jpeg. Weird!  

I didn't see the hawk but my friends took the photos this weekend and we'd love to know what kind you think it is? The first picture is for shape and wingspan and the second gives a little more detail on color and size (hopefully). Thank you, FB
