Thank you for your response. I do think it's the blue-crowned parakeet. The beak on the Dusky-Headed is dark and my guys have a light colored one. I live in S. Florida and saw these parrots (?) today, Oct. 27. I usually hear them long before I see them. I just happened to have my camera when they flew over so snapped a few shots. Definitely has a rufous cap. I can put up another photo with the close up of the head if that would help. If it were a White-crowned Sparrow, I assume it would be immature?
