PoorMatty - here's another shot of the one that was on the bottom of the feeder in the first picture. Different location, still a yellow belly.
-
Obnates - if you look in the video section they have a juvie, but no yellow belly.
-
Jello5700 - thanks. The yellow belly is really throwing me off.

Northern Virginia, late June at my bird feeder. I'm new at this - thought it was a Pine Siskin but now am pretty sure it's not.
Can't seem to find it in my books. Any help?
Thanks -
Jerry

Common Myna - you nailed it with a very poor description.

Pretty bird - didn't get to see it up close.
Thanks to TheGrine and Hank for the help.

Since I don't pay much attention to commercials, I may be wrong, but I think I saw AT&T featuring iBird as one of the apps you could download for the iPhone.
Go iBird!!

No pictures - was there on business last week. Pigeon sized black/brown with a white bar across each wing. Can't find anything on the net. These were all over the place, very common, thought it would be a shoo-in to figure it out when I returned stateside.
Will take my camera next time!!
Thanks, you all are the best -

This is the best picture I have - it is facing me in all the rest (wouldn't cooperate with a nice side view) so not much information. I would say no more than 5'' long and there were several in the group.
Thanks,
Jerry
