Please help me identify bird

I'm new to bird watching and am trying to identify a bird I've seen a few times in my backyard. It's fairly solid brown with lighter underside, a little bigger than a sparrow with long tail and yellow beak. Seems to have darker area around the eye. Walks/runs rather than hops. A fairly slender, rather than round bird. I'm sure it's common, but I don't know anything. I live in the Phoenix area. I've been feeding a seed mix and putting out fresh water every day, so I'm getting a lot more birds than I used to.

Unusual Hummer Identified

After posting this picture I sent a copy to the place where I took the photograph (Boyce Thompson Arboretum State Park, near Superior, Arizona).

They identified it as a naturally occurring hybrid of a Violet-crowned hummingbird and a Broad-billed hummingbird. They also said that it was only

the second one ever recorded.

Sorry for the quality on both, shot them from behind a dirty window. Location is a suburb of Phoenix, Arizona. I've never seen a hummingbird just hanging out on a branch for a long period of time, let alone two, so I thought this was kind of neat. But I've also never seen non-colorful hummingbirds before so I'm just curious as to what they could be?

Mystery Arizona juvenile. Need to figure out what it eats.

Seems not quite adult.

Found stumbling around alone on the ground in an Outback Steakhouse parking lot in Tempe, Arizona, USA. Very warm May weather. Sharp beak, large feet, protruding sternum (for lack of better terminology).
