It's fairly solid brown with lighter underside, a little bigger than a sparrow with long tail and yellow beak. Seems to have darker area around the eye. Walks/runs rather than hops. A fairly slender, rather than round bird. I'm sure it's common, but I don't know anything. I live in the Phoenix area. I've been feeding a seed mix and putting out fresh water every day, so I'm getting a lot more birds than I used to.
Unusual Hummer Identified

After posting this picture I sent a copy to the place where I took the photograph (Boyce Thompson Arboretum State Park, near Superior, Arizona).

They identified it as a naturally occurring hybrid of a Violet-crowned hummingbird and a Broad-billed hummingbird. They also said that it was only

the second one ever recorded.

Arizona Bird Need ID Assistance

I took this photo in the Lone Dutchman State Park. Any assistance in ID'ing would be greatly appreciated.

Location is a suburb of Phoenix, Arizona. I've never seen a hummingbird just hanging out on a branch for a long period of time, let alone two, so I thought this was kind of neat. But I've also never seen non-colorful hummingbirds before so I'm just curious as to what they could be?
Mystery Arizona juvenile.
