Yesterday afternoon, a mystery red bird appeared on one of our bluebird nesting boxes. The bird is larger than a finch -- slightly larger than our bluebirds. Hello,
I am in SW Washington and saw a bright yellow bird with a bold black stripe down its throat and a black stripe back over the head..
I believe it also had a much smaller black stripe above the eye. It was almost as big as a robin and had a long pointed beak.
I have combed through the images and cannot find ...

Have twice spotted a new bird at feeder. Very similar to a crow in shape, eye, feet and beak. Is black bodied, with black feet and beak but with a white head and neck.
