We spotted this hawk outside my window. My daughter and I would like to know whaty kind of hawk this is.   We are in Napervillle, Il

This young bird adopted my nephew in San Luis Obispo, Ca.  It flew in his truck while he was at the coffee shop and landed on his shoulder.  It stayed with him even while he drove around and after he got home.  It landed on other people too.  Anyone know what type of bird this is?

We saw this bird in late November on the shores of Lake Ontario near the Chimney Bluffs.  There were 3 or 4 and Blue Jays were also around, at first thought it was a Robin but Bird Watcher here says no he does not know what it is.  Cannot find in Field Guides.  note the light grey or white ring around neck. email me at ...
