This bird flew from the ground up to my fence this morning when I let the dog out, and waited at least long enough for me to get my camera. I know we have peregrine falcons around here (I've seen them going after the abundant pigeons), but this one didn't seem to have the distinctive head markings, though the barred tail with white tips looks ...

Hi all!  Great site!  I don't have a picture YET but I'm on a mission to find out what kind of hawk this may be.  Everything I have seen points to a Rufous morph of a Broadwing.  BUT this guy is HUGE.
