What kind of bird is this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E0dZH-iKz48 ? I found it on the beach in Pensacola Beach, Fl, and have seen them a few times. They kind of flop up on the shore and just lay there like they are injured, but they aren't actually sick or injured at all. Their legs are really far back too.

Hello,
today while my mowing the lawn I noticed a bird sitting in the grass. The bird didn't become startled by the lawn mower. So I turned it off and walked over. The bird allowed me to pick it up. It is not a baby, not injured, and not in shock. At first I thought it might be in shock because of it's calmness but it is fully aware and curious ...

Sorry I am not in the USA. I am in Colombia S.Am., but I thought maybe someone can help me identify this bird. It was on a bush in the patio and posed for me several times.

I think this is a Common Grackle but not sure.

Hi,
I'm just an amateur, but either the female sandhill crane has a different crown and cheeks than the male, or I'm looking at a bird that I can't find in WhatBird. In all respects, the bird appears to be a sandhill crane except that its cheeks are white and its crown black! Also, the bird I've seen sits perched on a short pole sticking up in ...

I remember seeing a bird this morning perched in a spruce tree. The bird was entirely black, though its feathers iridesced a blue colour. It had a thrush-style rounded tail that was almost as long as its body and a bill that was kind of needle/dagger shaped with slight white markings around the bill. It might have been a rusty blackbird, but I ...

Each year these birds come into the feeder. I have never know what kind they are, maybe someone knows. They feed on the wild cherries, then come to the feeder for seed. I live in Jacksonville Florida near the St Johns River.
Thanks, Barbee
