Hi Sorry, I thought the picture on your profile was supposed to be a green jay, but when I went to the identification site, the green jay does look more like what I saw, thanks again,

Hi, Thanks for your response but the bird I saw didn't look a thing like the picture you posted. the head and neck were totally black and the body a bright almost flourescent green. Any other thoughts?

We have some land in Orange Grove, Texas (southeastern section of Texas).
