Is this indeed a Scissor-tailed Flycatcher? If so, it is a bit out of place in North Florida. They are normally found in South Florida at certain times of the year.

What kind of bird is this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E0dZH-iKz48 ? I found it on the beach in Pensacola Beach, Fl, and have seen them a few times. They kind of flop up on the shore and just lay there like they are injured, but they aren't actually sick or injured at all. Their legs are really far back too.

I live in Charlotte,NC and have been watching birds for 30 years. This morning I saw a new bird that I can not find it in any book. The closest seems to be a coastal bushtit, but those are east coast birds.
It is about the size of a Eastern Bluebird (maybe a little smaller). A quick glimps through my ...

I was washing the car last week on a sunny day in Northern Virginia when I saw this guy in a tree. I ran in the house and grabbed the camera and chased him down. Sorry for the mediocre pics but hopefully they are clear enough to identify. Note that when I saw him in the tree, he appeared to have no neck, when he was on the ground it was ...
