Here are a pair of Brants I saw at Sandy Hook on March 17, 2008. I've only seen them once before, so this was pretty awesome!

This picture sums up most of my 3/17 Sandy Hook trip photo results: gulls and brants. There was more excitement, though that's discussed in my blog. Again, help is appreciated in IDing the gull.

Another picture from my 3/17 Sandy Hook trip. I couldn't see the brant too well, and took this picture using full zoom on my Canon s3. I was pretty happy to see it eating what I later learned was it's typical diet - marine plants! You can see it a lot better if you click on the original size.
