I had some lovely goldfinches visit my feeder today. I was so surprised to see them! I saw something moving out of the corner of my eye, and when I turned my head I saw the prettiest yellow bird! I cannot figure out what this little one is. It has the body shape of a yellow warbler, however, it has a black crown.
olive/yellow back, gray wings, yellow belly and SE MN

OK, you all sent me off on a search for my bird - and yes I am very certain SHE is either a female Hooded Oriole or a female Orchard Oriole - the thing is, either way she is a little bit out of her normal territory from what I can see.
