Tips for using Browse:

Browsing is a valuable way to learn about birds, however it is a brute force approach and not designed for identification. A more sophisticated approach to finding a bird with specific field marks is to use the Step by Step Search. You can also try the Wizard to find a bird, which uses a question and answer approach, but again it does not give you the flexibility of the Step by Step Search.

Yellow-chevroned Parakeet
Yellow-chevroned Parakeet: Medium parakeet, green overall with paler green underparts. The wings are green with yellow bar; underwing coverts are yellow-green. Buff bill. Pink-gray legs and feet. Feeds on seeds, fruit in native habitat, feral populations have adapted to take in blossoms and nectar.
Red-crowned Parrot
Red-crowned Parrot: This medium-sized parrot has dark-scaled green upperparts, pale green underparts, bright red forehead, crown and lores, violet blue neck sides and a yellow-pink bill. First five outer secondaries are red with violet blue tips; black primaries slightly tinged with dark blue tips. Feeds on fruits and flowers. Swift direct flight on rapidly beating wings. Sexes are similar.
