  11. Immature Red-tailed Hawk?

    When I took the shot, I showed it to an instructor at the Conservation Center, and she suggested that it was an immature Red-Tailed Hawk. I think she and I were looking at the photo and seeing the white as part of the tail, when it is really the underside of a wing. You're right. There is not enough tail showing. My main question should have been if it was, in fact, a Red-Tailed Hawk Thank you all for your responses. I apologize for my confusion.

    Lack of banding on the tail. I don't know how much more tail there is. Looks to me like it's all there.
