  1. Least Bittern?

Thank you, after reading more about the size I totally agree.
  2. Least Bittern?

Date: April 14, 2018 Location: Petersham, Massachusetts This bird was located on the fringe of a marsh and while walking past, I startled it. I managed to get this picture. I believe its a Least Bittern but as I've never seen one before, I'm looking for some help. Thanks in advance.
  3. Flycatcher?

Thank you all for the help. It is unfortunate that the bird remained silent during my encounter.
  4. Flycatcher?

I thought Least or Alder. A Hammonds would but rather far out of its normal territory but I do see the resemblence.
  5. Flycatcher?

Happy New Year all, Could anyone assist with this flycatcher looking bird? I know these are challenging. https://flic.kr/p/21G45n2 This picture was taken in Central Massachusetts at the Quabbin Reservoir on August 7th, 2017.
  6. Cooper's Hawk or Sharp-shinned?

Much appreciated! They are tricky indeed!
  7. https://flic.kr/p/21dhmUH My first contribution to this very cool site, so I apologize for anything wrong. I've struggling on determining whether this is a Cooper's Hawk or a Sharp-shinned Hawk, I know there are determining features lacking from this angle. I was leaning towards Coopers. It was taken in Central Massachusetts, December 16th at around 5pm. It is only slightly larger than Mourning Dove.
