  1. What happened to these Whatbirders?

I learned a ton from PoorMatty, Kryptos, RJP, etc.. I remember some awesome ID debates and discussions from that era of WB. Definitely super grateful for the time they were active here.
  2. Merry Christmas everyone!

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, Whatbird friends.
  3. Whatbirders Musicians

    ignore
  4. Whatbirders Musicians

I would do anything to not have to memorize element names at this point… lol.
  5. Whatbirders Musicians

    What can't you do, Liam?
  6. Whatbirders Musicians

Singer/songwriter… working on building guitar and keyboard skills as well.
  7. Whatbird's Young Birders!

    Yeah, haha, I am indeed.
  8. Whatbird's Young Birders!

    You're not alone, Wiamsterz. #youngbirders&schooldon'tmix
  9. Type of Vireo?

I'd agree with Cassin's, the shadowing appears to be making the overall coloration a bit darker than it actually is. There's way too much contrast between the green and blue color for Plumberous, also.
  10. Thrush?

You got it. Note all that buffy coloration on the face and around the eyes.
  11. Yep, a Least. Was there last week, and there is an Eared Grebe in alternate plumage hanging in West Polder.
  12. Birding in TX last month - what's this?

You have a female House Finch here.
  13. Whatbird's Young Birders!

The IBWO deal is one of those things were deep down I feel that I am remaining hopeful for a huge rediscovery one day, but at the same time I know it is never really going to happen and it's just wishful thinking.
  14. Red-breasted Merganser?

Hahahaha Liam xD totally jealous of the Snowy btw.
  15. Happy Thanksgiving Whatbirders

Happy thanksgiving to all on the forums! I still lurk around the forum and I still post every now and then, but believe me when I say that every post and every bit of information shared here is appreciated by all, and the knowledge and skill I have gained from watching others, and practicing my ID abilities on this forum over the last few years have helped shape me into the birder I am today. I know others can definitely say the same. Thank you all!
