  9. bird with a call like a clown horn?

i know it sounds ridiculous, but i'm not joking. it wasn't exactly like that horn, but the high and low notes were similar...and there was a high pitched, single note, quiet whistle before that sound. i've been digging through the sibley app on my phone all day. the park was empty and i'm positive i wasn't hearing people/radios etc...

  11. bird with a call like a clown horn?

thanks, guys. definitely not the goose or the bittern. it sounds very similar to this in it's rhythm, although the length would vary and it was quiet.
  12. today i was on a beach in california on clear lake, and i kept hearing a bird call from the marsh that sounded like a soft clown. i know this might sound crazy, but i'm positive it was a bird, and i've never heard such a sound. any ideas?
