  2. This is a picture of a bird that was brought to me by children in the Northern Iraqi town of Sununi, Northwest of Tal a Far. This picture was taken in July 2003. I cared for the bird until it could fly on its own, then released it into the wild. I saw it a few more times after the release, then I had to move to a different area. It is juvenile and probably gained more size later. I have been unable to positively identify it. Long-legged Buzzard, Short Toed Eagle, and the Steppe Buzzard have been considered. Any thoughts will be appreciated.
