  1. juvenile cardinal?

Hello, saw this beauty last weekend just east of Toronto. It must be a juvenile cardinal correct? https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10154816785645009.1073741946.683685008&type=1&l=3ea0d56815 Thanks
  2. raptors - silhouettes

Hello, Saw these birds yesterday in Southern Ontario (Leamington) near US boarder. I believe based on tail, that there are 2 different types. Can anyone identify from these silhouettes? https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10154816753695009.1073741945.683685008&type=1&l=d11be978eb Thanks
  3. Hermit Thrush?

Hello, I've seen these guys hanging out at the very back of my yard (Toronto). Are they all Hermit Thrush? https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10154816709905009.1073741944.683685008&type=1&l=524ec15e3e Thanks

  5. small yellow bird, white face mask?

Thanks. Not one but 2 in one day. Also saw a great-crested Flycatcher. Helps that I'm pretty new at this which means most are "Lifers" for me. Not sure why this shows me as advanced LOL
  6. Okay, not really, but is it a Veery? Seen in Toronto today. I think the colouring is right. https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10154812246965009.1073741942.683685008&type=1&l=6bff391fed Thanks
  7. Seen today in Toronto. I also have a great butt shot that shows off the tail feathers if that is at all helpful. Considering it ate a dragonfly I'm assuming I'm right about it being a flycatcher (haha). Wish I had a better angle though. Try as I might, I could not grow in height an extra 6 feet for a better shot :-( https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10154812239205009.1073741941.683685008&type=1&l=4132d60e01 Thanks
  8. small yellow bird, white face mask?

yay, a new one for me!
  9. Hello, Taken in Toronto this morning. the only bird that I came across with the white face markings is a yellow-breasted chat. maybe this is a warbler. I'm so confused!!!! It was very far, amazing that I got any photo at all (note that the green/reddish-brown marking near the wing is a leaf) https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10154811403630009.1073741940.683685008&type=1&l=afc74a39f2 Thank you
  10. American Black Duck

    Thank you
  11. American Black Duck

I came across this photo from some that I had taken this past summer in Toronto. Is this an American Black duck? It was definitely darker than the others near by. https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10154810198875009.1073741939.683685008&type=1&l=53434be38c Thanks
  12. bird

I'm not very good at this but I'm guessing the yellow one is a Hawaii 'amakihi.
  13. I don't think it is a warbling vireo ...

cool! a new photo for my collection :-) Thanks
  14. Hello, I don't think it is a warbling vireo as it has a distinctive wing bar and white eye ring, so, what did I see? Taken today in Toronto. https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10154779643670009.1073741938.683685008&type=1&l=7dc3ac1fa9 Thank you
