  1. Whatbird's Young Birders!

Mine's is just some random Warrior cat looking at a stormy sky, it's not even my own picture. Anyway a few weeks agoI went on my first overnight trip without my parents with some young birders to Ucluelet and Tofino. It was sunny and nice. We saw Sooty Shearwaters, Pink foots, a Pomarine Jaeger which flew over the boat, Red Phalaropes, Sabine's Gulls, Northern Fulmars,Fork- Tailed Storm Petrels and lots of breeding plumaged Pacific Loons and Red- Necked Phalaropes, and the most important thing a MANX SHEARWATER!!!!! Some people never saw it though. Unfortunately I suck at getting flight photos and none of my fulmars or pink foots turned out. While we were in Tofino we also saw four Pacific Golden Plovers. Also I'm gettin' a kitten in two weeks! Pacific-Golden Plover by Katya Kondratyuk, on Flickr Sooty Shearwater by Katya Kondratyuk, on Flickr Manx Shearwater!!!! by Katya Kondratyuk, on Flickr
  2. Whatbird's Young Birders!

On Sunday I successfully chased lifer Rusty Blackbird at the Bellingham Costco parking lot. She gave excellent views as she foraged with her Brewer's Blackbird buddies Much easier than having to pick through hundreds of Brewer's Blackbird with a scope Also got a nice pic of a LTDU at Blaine Harbour, it's not often when we see them nice 'n close! 7. Corrupt a Wish

You get your wish but someone steals them from you and there's no replacements left on Earth for ye. Dang it my wish ain't makin' no sense. Here's a better one. I wish I could find a live ABA Code 5 bird!
  8. Whatbird's Young Birders!

I've read both...White Fang's story was happier than Buck's. Bucky never got over his vicious side, he pretty much does a triple plus kill at the end of the book
  9. Whatbird's Young Birders!

OK, I only like tarantulas, the smaller spiders creep me out. Actually I kinda like caimens. I mostly hate saltwater crocs.
  10. Whatbird's Young Birders!

Time to share my top ten fave and least fave animals! Here are my top ten fave animals. 1. BIRDS (DUH!) 2. Cats (Started loving them after I read Warriors!) 3. Wolves (They're just so cool and mysterious) 4. Grizzly bears ( On my bucket list) 5. Orcas (Had an awesome and close experience with a resident orca pod on a whale watching trip in 2015) 6. Canada lynxes ( Hope to see one one day) 7. Siberian tigers ( So sad to hear that these beautiful animals are in danger of dying out...) 8. Serval cats (I love those big eared cuties) 9. Snow Leopard ( Such gorgeos big cats) 10. Foxes (Red, fennec, Arctic, and all the rest) Top Ten Least Fave! 1. Bugs(Ants, mosquitos, flies, fleas, spiders, grasshoppers, locusts, and beetles I hate) 2. Rats (Yeek I wish they were extinct) 3. African Wild Dogs ( Their eating habits are disgusting and make me wanna puke) 4. Snails ( Slimy and yuck!) 5. Sharks ( Sadistic ugly things that kill for no reason) 6. Pigs ( Ugly, enough said) 7. You get your wish but Donald Trump steals the bins from you and there's no replacements left on Earth for you. I WISH TOM SAWYER, BECKY THATCHER, HUCK FINN, INJUN JOE, AND MUFF POTTY EXISTED ! (Yes I watched clips from the 1995 movie, there's lots of people screaming and throwing knives around in the movie. The book was BORING.)

Why? It's just my opinion On the good side. I successfully chased yearbird american bittern in Terra Nova Park. I don't know how I managed to spot it. He was quite well hidden, but came out in the open for fifteen minutes. Man, they're so damn cool birds. American Bittern by Katya Kondratyuk, on Flickr
