  1. Here's a link to the recording: https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/9444289 I was thinking it was maybe a sora but I don't know how much variation there is in the call. Thanks, Joe
  2. Need Warbler Id Help

The bill looks small for a vireo. I'm not sure what warbler though (if I'm right about it not being a vireo). I'll be following the topic.
  3. Yellow-rumped warbler?

Yes, indeed a yellow-rumped warbler (audubon's- with the yellow throat)
  4. ? Little Yellow Bird

Maybe a juvenile male common yellowthroat? Looks like a lot of white around the eyes though. Clicking on the images leads you to a page that says the images are private so it's hard to get a better look at the images.
  5. Saw this gull yesterday near Blackpoint Marina in Miami-Dade County. I'm wondering if it's a 1st winter herring gull. Kind of reminds me of a skua too :-D herringgull? by Joseph Montes de Oca, on Flickr More images here: https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/8321026 Thanks for the opinions! -Joe
  6. Small Warbler? Vireo?

Pretty sure this is a pine warbler.
  7. I can't ID this little bird

    Saw her* ...she's a lady!
  8. Looking for opinions on this empid flycatcher I saw yesterday near the Everglades in Miami-Dade County. Here are some pics: DSC_0415 by Joseph Montes de Oca, on Flickr DSC_0413 by Joseph Montes de Oca, on Flickr DSC_0411 by Joseph Montes de Oca, on Flickr More pics and the ever important recording here (I'm pretty sure this is the 'Pip' call coming from this flycatcher making it an Alder but I'm not familiar with the call and there were many other birds around): http://www.inaturalist.org/observations/7918323
  9. Warbler ID

My impression is yellow warbler. I'm looking forward to seeing what others have to say!
  10. Seen in South Florida a couple days ago. Missed my chance to get good shots but I'm hoping it still might be IDable. I think I remember hesitating to take pics because there was a royal tern flying with it and they were calling back and forth leading me to assume they were both royals (I already have my fair share of royal tern pics). tern species by Joseph Montes de Oca, on Flickr tern species by Joseph Montes de Oca, on Flickr tern species by Joseph Montes de Oca, on Flickr Here's the inaturalist link if you want to share your opinion on inaturalist: http://www.inaturalist.org/observations/7733246 Thanks, Joe
  11. Gull, ducks, and shorebird

Such a cool pic of the shoveler!!!!
  12. Thanks for the ideas, very plausible stuff!
  13. Hello, My first impression when I saw this was that it must've been an owl that picked something up (I saw it a little after sunrise so assumed it must've been a nocturnal bird snatching something) but after looking more carefully noticed four three or four markings and that it must've been something kind of digging or who knows what. Anyways, I'm wondering if it was a bird or maybe something else? Are those maybe bobcat tracks above the little pit? I don't know what to make of it! 14. Indigo Bunting?

I agree with indigo bunting. Very nice pic!
