  1. Stumped

This could be obvious, but I'm coming up with nothing...maybe a female Canvasback? Taken today in Duluth, MN Question by Fred Durkin, on Flickr

  3. Rapor Confirmation

Thanks, it's the 5th FOY bird for me today!
  4. Rapor Confirmation

Good for a Red-tailed? Confirmation - Red Tailed by Fred Durkin, on Flickr
  5. Rough-legged Confirmation

Thanks for the confirmation. Here is one of the others I saw, but this one had a lot more white on the breast. Whiter Rough-legged by Fred Durkin, on Flickr Between the 3 RLH, 2 Bald Eagles and my first 2 Kestrels of the year, it was a raptoreffic kind of day!
  6. 95% sure on this, but I saw two others today, and this one just looked different. Rough-legged by Fred Durkin, on Flickr
  7. I'm getting tired of waiting around for a spring migration that is waiting for it to stop snowing up here, so I moved on to other animals this afternoon. This muskrat was collecting a very large mouthful of grass, and was a real treat to watch. Muskrat by Fred Durkin, on Flickr
  8. KC Thrush help

With that uniform cinnamon color, I'd originally thought Veery, but that could just be the lighting. The bill looks thinner and with the tail sticking up like that (and the time of year), I'd agree with Hermit.
  9. What kind of ducks are these?

Looks to be a male and female Mandrin
  10. On the way to work today I saw this fluffed up eagle against a deep blue sky...stopping to take a couple pictures only made me a little late. Bald Eagle by Fred Durkin, on Flickr
  11. What kind of hawk is this? Rough-legged?

With those wing patches and eye stripe on the second photo, I would agree with Rough-legged. Not sure on the first one.
  12. I was watching 8 Sharp-tailed Grouse doing their dance just to the left of this sunrise this morning. The birds were too far away for a good photo, so this ended up being my BPOTD. Sunrise2 by Fred Durkin, on Flickr
  13. Great Gray at sunrise this morning. Great Gray at Sunrise by Fred Durkin, on Flickr
  14. Hawk and Boreal

Whoops! Meant to post this in Photo of the Day...must have gotten too excited. Not sure how to move it or delete it, so please accept my apologies for the forum faux-pas!
