  10. I'd appreciate some ID for this small wren which I found in a swampy area at the edge of a saline playa in desert some miles W of Puerto PeƱasco ('La Salina' RAMSAR site). All photos are of the same individual. My guess was Marsh Wren because of habitat, but I'm not familiar with the small wrens. https://www.flickr.com/photos/davidbygott/32911767460/in/album-72157678806402362/ https://www.flickr.com/photos/davidbygott/33139309452/in/album-72157678806402362/ https://www.flickr.com/photos/davidbygott/32911767180/in/album-72157678806402362/
  11. Hello, my photographer boss took these photos in Tecate, Baja, Mexico in May. Any help identifying them would be appreciated.. thanks!
  12. I saw this bird at about 7:15 am this past Sunday, 1/17/2016, in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. I am a bit lost on the identification, between the white eye crescents, small dark bill, and relatively faintly streaked yellow breast and belly. The closest match I can find is the Palm Warbler, but while that isn't unprecedented in the area, it is certainly rare. Perhaps El Nino is responsible. Regardless, I was hoping that I might find either confirmation or a different identification. I have three mediocre pictures here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/137894171@N02/23937214824/in/dateposted-public/ https://www.flickr.com/photos/137894171@N02/24565369505/in/dateposted-public/ https://www.flickr.com/photos/137894171@N02/24565369505/in/dateposted-public/ Thanks in advance.
  13. I spotted this bird in the early morning (7:15 am) in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico on 1/17/2016. It was in a field of grass and brush, and moved around very quickly. It flicked its tail a lot. I was thinking perhaps Palm Warbler, but while not unprecedented, this would be a very unusual sighting. I was hoping someone might be able to either confirm or provide other thoughts. Thanks in advance.

  25. I have been spending part of the year in Huatulco, Oaxaca, Mexico and have become fairly familiar with birding in that part of Mexico. Anyone who is interested can check out a website with some of the birds I have photographed over the past few years. The address is http://www.birdsofhuatulco.com I am new to birding but from what I gather from experienced birders it is a great spot! I also have a friend who is a local guide and native to the area. He is highly qualified. http://www.coug.net/cornelio
