Not a wildlife shot,  but this shows the fun of sampling in the marsh during winter at low tide. Running a 27 foot boat through a foot of water is all fun and games till you pick up a ghost trap in the prop.

It was early and it wasn't his good side so he wasn't happy with the photo shoot.

I am over the moon, fellow bird nerds! This may not be that exciting to you, but the Loggerhead Shrike was one of my bucket list birds. I just find them so intriguing and elegant. Like they'd wear a suit to any and all occasions... but may very well be the next American Psycho with all their impaling. And I saw no less than two, up to four, in one hike!! (not sure if some were the same bird) Cross that one off the list! And I got great pics to boot!
