What Happened to Sound Files?

6 posts in this topic

I don't often use this site, but when I do I find the sound files quite helpful.  This morning I was trying to identify a bird and noticed the sound files had disappeared.  What happened?  Are they only available on the (pay) feature of iBird?

Thanks!

They may be only on the paid version but that's what I have so I don't know. You can always find a website where there are sound files.

I think this would be better placed in the iBird section, so I'll move this thread for you.

I highly suggest Xeno-canto for bird sounds! Largest collection of bird calls I know of.  http://xeno-canto.org/

I live in Northern Ohio, and am trying to identify a bird that make a very clear 3-note call using the musical notes, D,B,E. It's not a roufous sided towee, but is sortof similar. It's small and brownish, but that's all I can tell about it's appearance. Anyone have any idea what it might be?

The notes you mention could be the "drink you teeeee" call of the Eastern Towhee. If it was brown, it was the female.
