Flycatcher ID Requested

Recommended Posts

I always have trouble differentiating between an Eastern Phoebe and the Eastern Wood Pewee.

I believe this to be an Eastern Phoebe given the underside of the bill is yellow as opposed to black.  Correct?

Thank you!

It's hard for me to tell from a photo taken from the front like this, but I'm thinking this is a Traill's (Willow or Alder) Flycatcher.  An Eastern Phoebe would have a completely black beak and lack the eyering and I think an Eastern Wood-Pewee would have more of a "vest" and a less prominent eyering.
