By way of explanation we have this cat who has to prove his worth by leaving various offerings on the porch.

First the cat:

Now the unknown offering--the rear half of something...what in the world? Someone's pet kangaroo rat? The hind foot from toe to elbow was a little over an inch. I scribbled out the gory parts. :wacko:Location Augusta, GA.

Wow, I think that's it! I could not figure out those feet but the squirrel looks just like it! Thank you!

And we do feed the cat. -_- But occasionally he bags a squirrel. He once chased a squirrel up a tree, out a limb and caught it! At least he doesn't bother the birds too much. That was my concern when he showed up. Yep he was a stray. My youngest wanted to feed him but we didn't immediately because I didn't really want a cat and I thought it should go home. Then a neighbor said it had been at his place for six months. So we inherited the nicest cat I have ever seen. If you call, he will come. If you take a walk he will go along just like a dog. I'm not sure how it ended up here; we never could find out. We've had him for some years now so I guess he's ours.
