Ontario flycatcher

Recommended Posts

Anyone want to take a stab at this one ? Taken 2017-09-09 at Long Point, Ontario (Lake Erie shore).

So far I have been given 3 different opinions, with 3 different species suggested - Least (which simply based on size I dont think it was, it was notably larger), Acadian and Trail's.

All same individual.

Thanks.

I'll second Eastern Wood-Pewee with those long wings. I'm also noticing the dusky undertail coverts contrasting with white belly - Sibley points out that Willow/Traill's has clean white undertail coverts.

agree with pewee, the empids would have longer tails/ less undertail coverts and shorter primary projections
