It seems if all the birds from my back yard have disappeared.....ALL of them

The feeders have been full for almost a month now...weill take them down to clean them and add new but the suet, suet dough, BOSS and thistle seed are almost untouched.  Just wondering if anyone else has had this experience

Yep, our feeders have been staying full for a long time, too.  We are getting a few birds a day, but that's it.  I've heard (around here) it's because of the abundant natural food and warm weather this fall.  The birds are finding other things to eat.

Here in Dallas it's the same thing. I had tons of feed out, and suet blocks everywhere, and they all have just disappeared. I have a few house sparrows that show up everyday, but I'd say about 90% of my birds have disappeared. We've had a very long summer, and today its expected to be 87 degrees out. I think there is just a huge abundance of natural food everywhere. I can hear them in the trees, and every now and then I see a cardinal or blue jay in the distance, but rarely do any of them stop to eat. I ended up throwing a lot of food away recently because it went uneaten. Will be so happy when they come back

Yeah, I guess it's a good time to clean the feeders!  To avoid having to throw out so much feed, we had been filling one feeder only halfway.  Probably should wait to put suet out until more birds start showing up.
