I live in Santa Ynez California. This bird seems to visit a dozen times a year in all seasons @ night, between 9pm-1am at  The night call is really enchanting and lovely. We have searched dozens of databases, nothing. I have an audio file of it, no picture. How do I send the file for ID?

Welcom to the forum! I believe that you would gave to upload it to a third party image site, such as flickr, imgur, google photos, facebook etc. Then you could either paste the BBCode here, or just share a link.

Can't seem to find an app to attach the audio file which is beyond the 1.9 mg this site will accept. Thanks for the suggestion.

Just so you're clear, we get a very limited upload allowance; anyone who posts on a regular basis will run out soon. You'll need to use a third-party photo hosting site for photos, too.

Do you eBird?  If so attach the file to a checklist, label the sighting as passerine species, and then paste link to checklist here.
