It's possible that the nesting instincts start to kick in before the migration starts. But it's not absolutely impossible that she's looking to nest. They used to nest much more widely in the eastern US, and there have been documented summer sightings in Tennessee and occasional recent nesting in NW Mississippi and S. Illinois and Indiana.
