Confirming Swainson Thrush and Western Wood Pewee

San Diego, 05/17/18

wood pewee, double wingbars, no eye ring, dull bird, no tail flicking, Flycatching from power lines

Swainson Thrush, under canopy, on branches, not seen on ground, looked like flycatching, uniform in color, no dark spots seen and Buffy eye ring.

I'd agree with Swainson's but the flycatcher doesn't look very pewee-y to me. Looks more like an empid. Maybe Willow? The west coast has way more empids than here!

 I would much rather it be a Willow! But since there’s some disagreement let me know if you need different angles I have multiple shots of the same bird. None came out great though :/
