Ty cairnstone. Had to take about 50 of the vulture to get that one. But the swallow was great I took 4 shot and got 2 good ones. It helps when I has practically standing right next to its mate in the nest box and he was only about 6ft above meWink

Fun to see and record these aerialist Black Skimmers. (Although photographically not so hot - wish I had a better camera, a longer and faster lens, quicker reflexes, a steadier hand, etc.......I should have known that taking up birding would lead to photo equipment cravings.)

Those are great shots!  Check out my Northern Shovelers in flight on post titled "migration season - gotta love it!"  I agree with you - flight shots are hard, and flight shots with P&S cameras (which is what I have) are hit and miss!  It's nice, though, when I get a hit!

I think it's play, wrong season for love, didn't look aggressive. But they move very quickly and I have a hard time attending to behavioral details when grabbing shots.
