Also who is the moderator for the WB Flickr?

There's several. I'm one of them, but rarely check anymore. Do you want to be added?

I finally was able to get some good birding in yesterday, senior year has kinda been dumping on me so my outings have been few and far between.

But yesterday I spent a great afternoon in the Snoqualmie Valley. Highlights include my FOS Varied Thrush, a ton of Cackling Geese and Trumpeter Swans which are always enjoyable to see, a pretty male Eurasian Wigeon, a gorgeous "gray ghost" and the best of all, 2 Short-eared Owls, one of which flew not 10 ft from me and my younger sister!!!!!!

Anybody know of a nice lightweight, fairly cheap scope? Or some websites I can look on?

It depends on how lightweight... I have a Celestron Ultima and it works great for me. I guess it's on the lighter side but I wouldn't know.

Hey!

It's been a while since I've been on here.

Yesterday I chased my first lifer in almost two months, a Harris's Sparrow, in MD, and successfully pished it out onto an exposed branch, refinding it for the other birders there! I also got a Lark Sparrow in D.C., not a lifer but a nice D.C. bird. Today I visited my old patch after almost a month of absence, and found 13 Wilson's snipe, an adult bald eagle, and a female Rusty Blackbird.

Tomorrow I'll be in NJ at my cousins house in NJ, where I hope to get lifers Fox Sparrow and American Tree Sparrow. I'll also be trying for the Northern Shrike that's been seen at Great Swamp NWR, only a little ways north of them!

He is currently at 344 for the province, his newest species being Northern Gannet, and before that Mountain Bluebird. The previous record was 343, and the year isn't over yet!!
